Toward Concord
Cheyney-Concord intersection looking North toward Ward / location estimated

“Sometimes in driving down the succession of hills toward Ward, we looked down on the beautiful scene of a heavy fog hanging low in the hollows along the Concord Creek, a tributary of the West branch of Chester Creek" (Hannum, p. 30).
Today, the stretch of Concord Road leading North towards Ward is developed. A significant single-family home development sits where this open tract of land once was. However, many homes extant along this stretch of Concord Road in 1924 are still here.
