“Each summer through from our early boyhood days through our high school days, my cousin Harry Bishop Johnson spent two weeks visiting me and I spent two weeks at his home” (Hannum, p. 86).

The Peters-Johnson House was built c. 1790. Charlie Johnson and his family lived at this House during the 1924 tour. He was the uncle to Joshua Eyre Hannum and the owner and operator of the Forest Queen Saw Mill. The House is extant today and sits high on a hill overlooking Green’s Creek and the traffic along Valleybrook Road below.
