The Graveyard
Concord Friends Meeting Graveyard
827 Concord Road

“My grandparents were devout Quakers, that is, members of the Protestant denomination, the Society of Friends, as were their parents, and grandparents and great-grandparents before them” (Hannum, p. 60-61).
The Concord Friends Meeting's graveyard is filled with well-known family names: Hannum, Pyle, and Darlington. This photograph shows the Maplewood Institute's gymnasium in the distance, which still exists today. Little has changed from this vantage point other than the addition of the ever-popular pickleball courts that sit between the graveyard and the old gymnasium.
