Willows At Overfield
Moses Palmer – William Hannum House
387 Concord Road

“The only distinct picture I have retained of him [William Hannum II] in my memory is as he sat on the front porch at “Overfield” in his rocking chair swatting flies … occasionally he spoke to me very kindly whenever I happened to be around and he would beckon me to come and stand beside his chair so he could gently stroke my head” (Hannum, p. 59).
The willow trees at Overfield are long gone, but many other trees remain. The house’s wonderful wrap-around porch exists as it once did for the Hannum’s.
